Abstract

Lyocell fiber is a cellulose fiber produced by dissolving cellulose in N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide in an environmentally friendly process. Lyocell fibers have characteristics such as high drying and wet strength and high wet elastic modulus, but have the drawback of easily forming fibrils under wet conditions. In this report, we discussed the causes of fibrillation of Lyocell fibers and the defibrillation method of Lyocell fibers.
