Short Biography
Prof. Dr. Md Kabirul Islam is a prominent academic and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology at Daffodil International University (DIU), where he is a Professor in the Department of Multimedia & Creative Technology. With a PhD in ICT-Supported Teaching and Learning from Victoria University, Australia, and advanced degrees in Physics and Education from leading Bangladeshi institutions, Dr. Islam has developed expertise in ICT for development, sustainable research culture, e-learning, and collaborative learning. His professional contributions include serving on the Research and Innovation Committee of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) and participating in international panels, such as EURAS in Turkey, on global university rankings. Dr. Islam has led impactful initiatives like the Living Value Project at DIU under the Magna Charta Observatory, which fosters academic values and integrity. He is also affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) in the UK, where he provides training on grant proposal writing for early-career researchers. Dr. Islam’s leadership and commitment to education and research continue to advance both DIU and the broader academic community.
