Dr. Md. Sarowar Hossain is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, where his research focused on identifying genes responsible for obesity using forward genetic screening in mice. He was awarded “Young Investigator” Award in 2016 from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, for performing an excellent research work. Dr. Hossain's expertise lies in various areas of molecular genetics, cell biology, protein analysis, and gene transfer using vectors. He is also skilled in cell culture, animal models, and computer-aided drug design. Currently, his research interests in identifying natural compounds with different phytochemical and pharmacological properties from Bangladeshi plants. He is also working for designing drugs that target specific proteins using computational methods. Dr. Hossain has authored and co-authored several publications in scientific journals, demonstrating his commitment to research and development.
