Dr. Fizar Ahmed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Daffodil International University, where he has been since 2019. He received his Ph.D. in Business Informatics from the Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary in 2018.His research interests span both Machine Learning and Data Science. Specially in the area of Agriculture. Much of his work has been on improving the understanding, design, and performance of Internet of Things (IoT), mainly through the application of data mining and Artificial Intelligent. In the IoT arena, he has worked on implementation of IoT in agriculture sector. He has explored the presence and implications of IoT in livestock and organic sector by using Government innovation fund. Under his supervision, about seventy students of undergraduate and postgraduate programs are conducting research, mostly on agriculture data analysis for climate resilient agriculture. He is playing a major role in industry and academic collaboration. Dr. Fizar is co-author of business informatics, predictive data analysis, Internet of things based papers and is the author of many papers in business and ICT journals and conferences. He is also the entrepreneur of ICT based smart agriculture and livestock farming for exploring the agro employment in the rural areas of Bangladesh. He is now the Director of Embedded System Research Laboratory of Daffodil International University.
