Syed Nazmus Sakib is an ambitious graduate student pursuing his additional M.Sc. degree at the Institute of Water and Flood Management, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Sakib is highly regarded for his ability to cultivate an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and nurtures intellectual curiosity. Driven by a deep sense of dedication to humanity and the environment, Sakib aspires to become a distinguished Disaster Management Specialist and a prominent researcher in his field. By actively engaging in research and academia, he aims to fulfill his dream of imparting invaluable knowledge to others. Sakib has been honored with the prestigious National Science and Technology fellowship from the Ministry of Science and Technology, People's Republic of Bangladesh. He has also played an integral role in various research projects. His expertise spans GIS, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe suite, yED, and SPSS. Furthermore, he possesses skills in Hazard Identification & Risk Reduction, Program Management, Emergency Management, Quality Management, and Content Making. In addition to his academic pursuits, Sakib has organized and took part in several events and research projects centered on disaster preparedness and mitigation. These include initiatives such as flood preparedness (IWFM, BUET), flood relief (DDM, MoDMR), earthquake drills (DREE-19), fire hazard drills (FCSD), and cyclone need assessment (NAWG) and so on.
