Abstract
Eating our favourite mushroom can cause death if we eat it without knowing if it is edible or poisonous. Every year many people around the world die or are affected due to mushroom poisoning. Health is the most important wealth for a human being. Keeping that in mind we try to give a brief review of research works on mushroom poisoning. The rapid development of neural networks and deep learning may solve this issue. Earlier few people tried to solve this mushroom identification problem however there is very little quality work on this topic, specially on the Bangladeshi mushroom data. Most of the authors used supervised learning approaches such as: Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN), Artificial Neural Network etc. Among these supervised learning ANN gave the highest accuracy in different studies. In this paper we try to accumulate the most recent and accurate studies.
