We, at Daffodil International University (DIU), are committed to research as the core of academic excellence, innovation, and meaningful societal impact. The Division of Research (DoR) aims to develop an active, sustainable, and world-class research environment in which faculty, researchers, and students can turn ideas into knowledge, innovation, and solutions to global problems.
Our first priority is to enhance the quality, integrity, visibility and impact of research at DIU. DoR supports these projects at all stages of the research process from the conception of research ideas through the development of competitive research proposals, to research implementation, publication, knowledge dissemination, and translation of research into practice. Research policies, processes, research infrastructure, digital systems and support services will be continually refined to foster an efficient and researcher friendly environment.
The major focus of DoR is competitive research funding. We assist researchers in the identification of national and international funding opportunities, preparation of high quality proposals, research consortia and establishing international partnerships among government agencies, industries, funding organizations, and leading universities around the world. Increased external funding will enhance DIU's research capacity, facilities and internationalization.
Our approach continues to be interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and international collaboration. We bridge disciplines and institutions to solve complex global challenges and open avenues for joint research, collaborative grants, high-impact publications, researcher mobility, and knowledge sharing.
We are as dedicated as ever to research integrity and scholarly excellence. Researchers will be encouraged and supported to publish in high-quality journals, share their research with academic, industrial, governmental and societal stakeholders, and increase the visibility and impact. Research ethics, responsible authorship, responsible use of emerging technologies, research data management and plagiarism prevention will continue to be embedded in our research culture.
Another strategic objective is to translate research results into innovation and intellectual property (IP). The Division of Research strengthens the IP identification, protection, management and commercialization of IP developed as part of DIU research. We inspire researchers to move beyond publications to patents, prototypes, technologies, products, start-ups and industry partnerships.
We also cultivate student research and innovation by providing mentorship, research assistantships, training, competitions, and faculty-based projects, to nurture the next generation of researchers and innovators.
The Division of Research is committed to enhancing DIU's international standing and university rankings by strengthening research quality, citations, international collaboration, industry engagement, research funding, innovation and research reputation. The aim of our work is not only to improve our ranking, but also to achieve real and lasting excellence in research.
