On Monday, July 28, 2025, the Division of Research (DoR) at Daffodil International University (DIU) organized an important workshop titled "Grant Writing Success: Strategies for Winning Proposals." The event was held at the Kobi Nazrul Eduplex, DIU Central Library, and aimed to equip participants with the essential tools for crafting successful research proposals.
Dr. Haseeb Md. Irfanullah, an independent consultant specializing in Environment, Climate Change, and Research Systems, led the session. His expertise provided valuable insights on how to create compelling and competitive research proposals that stand out to funders. The workshop covered key aspects such as structuring proposals for both national and international grants, understanding the priorities of funders, and developing strategies that align with impactful research objectives.
Participants also learned about common pitfalls in grant writing and how to avoid them to enhance their chances of success. Furthermore, the session emphasized the importance of designing research that not only contributes to academic knowledge but also has a meaningful social impact. More than 60 faculty members from various departments attended, benefiting from the hands-on approach and interactive discussions.
