The Division of Research (DoR) of Daffodil International University (DIU) successfully organized a workshop titled “How to Develop the Best HEAT Project: Easy Techniques for Preparing High-Quality Grant Project Proposals” on 03 February 2026 (Tuesday) at 10:00 AM. The session was held at the Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman Seminar Hall, Level-5, Knowledge Tower, Daffodil Smart City (DSC), Birulia, Savar, Dhaka-1216.
The workshop was facilitated by Professor Dr. Gias U. Ahsan, Advisor, Strategy & Innovation, Daffodil International University, who shared practical, easy-to-follow techniques for developing high-quality grant project proposals under the HEAT Project. His presentation focused on proposal structuring, clarity of objectives, innovation alignment, and strategic approaches to increase proposal competitiveness.
The session was further enriched by the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSIT), DIU, who provided valuable insights into the HEAT proposal preparation and application procedures. Drawing from his experience as the Principal Investigator (PI) of an ongoing HEAT Project titled “Establishing Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at Daffodil International University (DIU)”, he shared practical guidance, implementation experiences, and key considerations for successful project execution.
The workshop was attended by faculty members and researchers from different disciplines, reflecting strong interest in externally funded research opportunities. The session contributed significantly to enhancing participants’ understanding of HEAT project requirements and strengthening DIU’s capacity for preparing competitive grant proposals.
