In this paper, a plowing T-shaped microstrip patch antenna (MPA) is proposed which can be used for 5 GHz WiFi (5.180 GHz – 5.925 GHz), 6 GHz WiFi (5.940 GHz – 7.075 GHz) and C band (4GHz – 8GHz) satellite applications. The dielectric substrate of Arlon Cu 217LX (lossy) material having a dielectric constant (εr) of 2.2 and loss tangent (δ) of 0.0009 has been used in the proposed design. The length (L) and width (W) of the substrate are 40 mm and 50 mm respectively. The proposed antenna covers a radiation frequency range of 4 GHz - 8 GHz and possesses gain of 3.55 dB to 6.4 dB over the entire bandwidth of the antenna. The antenna's resonance frequency is 5.78 GHz with a -31.08 dB return loss. The radiation efficiency of the antenna varies from 74% to 90% within the entire radiating frequency band. This antenna has been designed and optimized using CST MW studio. Finally, the results of CST MW studio have been buttressed by Zeland IE3D which reflects good matching between two simulators.
