Abstract

Tourism is a growing sector in the world economy with a substantial impact on social change through economic activities, including income-generating activities such as employment and infrastructural development. This chapter aims to find possibilities to augment tourism in developing society 5. 0 or a super-smart society that uses valuable contemporary technologies like AI, IoT, Big data, and Robotics. Society 5. 0 is a concept designed to overcome some arising and existing issues and enhance the quality of people's lives using modern and digital technologies. The chapter, therefore, applies theoretical debate and real-life examples to explain tourism impacts, including improved standard of living, economic growth, cultural interchanges, and development in technological inventions. It also examines the possible implications of tourism development for financial, social, and environmental factors. In realizing the mutual impact of two subjects, this chapter discusses a novel, practical, sustainable tourism approach and advancement to obtain a super smart society.
