This study explores the benefits of Human Library services for visually impaired students, focusing on enhancing their social, emotional, and educational experiences while addressing key challenges. Using a qualitative approach, the research includes focus group discussions and semi-structured interviews. Four focus groups involved volunteers from the Light of the Sound Organization and visually impaired students from Dhaka-based institutions. Key informant interviews were conducted. Findings reveal that Human Library services boost cultural awareness, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence but face challenges like communication barriers, limited accessibility, and insufficient volunteer training. Framed by social constructivism, the study highlights knowledge co-creation through social engagement and advocates for tailored Human Library services to foster inclusion, gender equality, and societal integration for visually impaired individuals.
