This paper explores the effect of green HRM practices and greener dynamics towards green performance management (GPM) in green hotels in Pakistan.
This is a quantitative study. We collected cross-sectional data from employees working in green hotels in Pakistan and used 376 usable samples to conclude the results.
Using the structural equation model (SEM), the study’s results exert a positive impact of green HRM practices, i.e. green hiring (GH), green training and development (GTD) and green discipline management (GDM), on green self-efficacy (GSE) and green involvement (GI). Also, the study demonstrates the positive impact of GSE on green creativity (GC) and GPM. Further, GI is a substantial predictor of GPM but not of GC, which positively and significantly affects GPM.
The study offers new insights and provides guidelines for policymakers and hotel authorities to understand and leverage green practices in the hotel industry. By providing a fresh theoretical lens, such as GC, GPM, green HRM, GI and GSE, to analyse these correlations in green hotel personnel, this study will help to advance theory in this field.
The study provides a novel contribution regarding a new model and empirical confirmation from the Pakistani green hotel industry.
