Heritage tourism has rapidly expanded in historically and culturally rich countries like Bangladesh. Heritage tourism growth helps to enhance economic development, cultural preservation, and community empowerment. This study assesses the patterns of existing heritage tourism in Bangladesh and its challenges, like infrastructural difficulties, poor conservation initiatives, and limited worldwide marketing and brand visibility. It also suggests a strategic approach involving digital transformation, public-private partnerships (PPPs), sustainable tourist development, and local community capacity building and training to ensure heritage tourism market growth and solve these challenges. This study also recommends actionable policies like tax incentives for sustainable tourist enterprises, regulatory simplification, and investment in tourism infrastructure and cultural conservation to empower heritage tourism in Bangladesh for market growth.
