Abstract
In the modern era of sophisticated workplace requirements, technological integration of smart devices has become essential for enhancing productivity. However, this increased reliance on digital tools poses a challenge in managing and monitoring employee activities, particularly controlling personal usage during designated work hours. Traditional monitoring systems often struggle with inefficiency and privacy concerns, creating a pressing need for more effective and respectful solutions. This study introduces Trackmee, a novel system designed to address these challenges by providing a balanced approach to employee activity monitoring. Trackmee retrieves, analyzes, and generates detailed reports based on employee data collected from its devices during office hours. This system aims to offer valuable insights into productivity while maintaining strict privacy protocols. Data are encrypted and managed to prevent unauthorized access with a focus on transparency and consent. Everyday life in this modern era is deeply connected with computing services that are available both offline and online. Every aspect of human modernization is based on computing devices as an inseparable part of our lives. Computers provide a way to accomplish daily tasks more easily and smoothly, with higher accuracy. The system tracked the activities performed through the device every 5 min and pushed them to the server. From the server, a daily performance report based on computer or laptop use will be sent to the employer. A monthly report will also be sent to employees to improve their performance in future activities. We surveyed 20 organizations that provide PC, laptops, and smartphones to their employees to make work fast. However, they faced the problems described above. Therefore, they need an application that helps them monitor their employees’ activities on such devices.
