Abstract

The development of the M2M communication network is significantly influenced by IoT devices, which function in an environment in comparison to human interactions. The Smart Grid represents the digital version of the conventional electric grid. Traditional electric grids have an obsolete structure and wiring, which requires significant investments in order to improve the grid conditions. It's a process that needs an extended period of time. In addition, the components of these grids must require regular maintenance and monitoring to ensure the constant supply of electricity. The development of smart grid (SG) technology facilitates the integration of sustainable energy and environmental aspects. The implementation of IoT into the complex framework of energy systems enables the conversion of conventional electric grids into sustainable smart grids. The establishment of IoT in smart grids enhances both the cost-effectiveness and reliability of these systems. This research introduces a novel framework for adapted energy management of IoT devices into the smart grid, integrating real-time grid conditions and shifting energy consumption according to the unique requirements of each IoT device. The suggested model discusses the shifting strategy of three operational states of an IoT device (Active, Idle, and Sleep) to enhance grid stability and effective energy management.
