Abstract

The chapter explores how tourist wellness experiences are created amidst the excitement of city environments. The topics concern changes in green areas, the application of health-related features in architecture, and the establishment of health-related amenities in cities. The existing literature review and empirical evidence reveal robust findings on how value-as-destinations transform urban places to enhance visitor satisfaction and local well-being. Sustainable activities and the social-economic impact of wellness tourism versus touristic benefits and regional population health are major contentious issues in this discourse. The chapter highlights where and how technological assets influence wellness involvement, help tourists discover city-based wellness, and enable urban tourism and wellness stakeholders to access clear information for city planners, tourism, and welfare. It demonstrates that incorporating wellness into cities can enhance their attractiveness to tourists and the significance of this factor in the contemporary urban tourism landscape.
