Abstract

In this paper, a real-time object detection and position tracking belt conveyor system using LDR sensors was designed based on IoT at minimum cost. The system that has been implemented on a wooden frame with rope belt and Arduino Uno is a 12 V DC motor with speed control and LDR sensors with LED indication to precisely sense objects of varying shapes and size in different positions. In contrast to the traditional fixed-speed system, the proposed system can dynamically adjust its speed without influencing the detection performance. It's simple, modular, and flexible design is well-suited for factory simulations and applications like object counting, quality control, and automated sorting in small -to-medium-sized factories.
