Abstract

Artificial intelligence-assisted tourism has brought in the new age of predictive travel intelligence, with travelers seeking immediate suggestions, risk forecasts, and itinerary recommendations. Smart systems analyze massive datasets ranging from user behavior to weather conditions to geopolitical threats to optimize travel. The blockchain network is a security layer that is open and rampant to prevent unwanted activities across the platform, and the chapter investigates the cyber vulnerabilities of these AI travel intelligence systems, including risks of data manipulation, adversarial AI attacks, privacy violations, and algorithmic challenges in securing the personal and behavioral data with which travel is predicted. The chapter then emphasizes the importance of data protection frameworks and transparent design algorithms that do not compromise blockchain-based authentication mechanisms in the pursuit of ensuring digital trust. The insights offered help cybersecurity practitioners, policymakers, and tourism technology startups build safer and more transparent systems.
