The objective of this research was to evaluate the total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, antioxidant activity and tyrosinase inhibitory activity of leaves and stems from M. latifolia, M. alba branches, and the heartwood of H. crenulata extracts in 14 samples. The extracts were obtained using two solvents: 95% ethanol (S1-S7) and 50% ethanol (S8-S14) in different ratios. The study of total phenolic compounds and total flavonoid content revealed that sample S9 (2:1:3) had the highest total phenolic compound content at 98.772±1.941 mg GAE/g extract, and sample S13 (3:2:1) had the highest total flavonoid content at 14.424±0.295 mg QE/g extract. Antioxidative activity analysis using FRAP, DPPH, ABTS⁺ methods and tyrosinase inhibitory activity revealed that sample S13 (3:2:1) exhibited the highest FRAP activity at 40.208±0.517 mg TE/g extract, the sample of S11 (3:1:2) showed the highest DPPH activity with IC50 at 0.370±0.008 mg/mL, and the sample of S12 (1:3:2) displayed the highest ABTS⁺ activity with IC50 of 0.073±0.007 mg/mL, the highest values in each test differed significantly from one another (p<0.05) among all the samples. The sample of S12 (1:3:2) exhibited the strongest tyrosinase inhibitory activity, with IC50 value of 0.011±0.001 mg/mL, while the standard substance ascorbic acid had IC50 value of 0.144±0.010 mg/mL. The results of this experiment suggest the potential applications in the formulation of skin care products with whitening, moisturizing and anti-aging functions.
